Obituary for Harry Hagen as was published in the Western Star, Coldwater, Kansas.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, 15 2 pm at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home with Gib Clark officiating. Burial was at Coy Cemetery, Lookout, Okla.
Music was provided by Bob and Roger Hoffman, who sang " What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me", with Fayette Blount as organist.
Pallbearers were Ray Squire, Dennis Swayze, Ralph Hoofer, Kenneth Bliss, Virgil McIntyre, and Jerry Allen.
Harry Hagen, the only child of John and Mary Hagen, was born October 5, 1895, at Newton, Kans. He died May 24, 1979 at Harper County Community Hospital at Buffalo, Okla, at the age of 83.
As a small boy he came with his family to Woods county, Oklahoma, where they homesteaded in the Coy community. He attended his early school years at Pleasant View country school. In later years his mother brought him to Coldwater to attend the Coldwater school.
He was married to Agnes Zielke on January 21, 1924. They had two daughters, Wynona and Lorena.
Harry was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Coldwater American Legion.
He farmed in Oklahoma and also worked at the carpenter trade. In 1956 they moved into Coldwater, where he resided until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes and Daughter, Wynona, both of the home; his daughter, Lorena and her husband, Cecil Friend, who live in the Lookout , Okla, community, three grandchildren: Dixie and her husband Ron Gay of Pensacola, Fla, Rita and her husband, Larry Case of Medford, Okla; a grandson, David Friend who resides with his parents, Cecil and Lorena.
Other relatives include brothers and sisters-in-law: Herman and Martha Zielke, J P and Mary Krocker, all of Corn, Okla; Frank and Marcella Zielke of Coldwater, and Bernard Zielke of Protection, a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
