MR. LEE A. LEWIS
OFFICIATING MINISTER: EVERETT SPENCER MR. LEE LEWIS BORN MAY 11, 1917 DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON SATURDAY JANUARY 2, 2010 AT HIS RESIDENCE BEING 92-YEARS, 7-MONTHS, AND 21-DAYS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF HIS PASSING. LEE WAS BORN IN PERRY COUNTY THE SON OF THE LATE HAMP LEWIS AND THE LATE POLLY JANE LEWIS. LEE WAS A LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF PERRY COUNTY AND ENJOYED GARDENING AND READING. LEE WAS A VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST. LEE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE EVA BROCK LEWIS, ONE GRANDDAUGHTER JENNIFER EVERSOL AND ONE BROTHER HILLARY LEWIS. MR. LEE A. LEWIS LEAVES THE FOLLOWING RELATIVES SURVIVING: TWO SONS ROGER LEWIS & WIFE REDA OF AMBURGEY, KY AND RALPH LEWIS OF BUSY, KY; ONE DAUGHTER PEGGY TOROK & HUSBAND DUANE OF BULAN, KY; ONE BROTHER RICHMOND LEWIS OF FRANKFORT, KY; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN TONY ANGIE, MATTHEW, STELLA AND MICHAEL, AND SEVEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, AND A HOST OF OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS SURVIVE. FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MR. LEE A. LEWIS WILL BE CONDUCTED ON TUESDAY JANUARY 5, 2010 AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE ENGLE-WALKER FUNERAL HOME ON EAST MAIN STREET WITH EVERETT SPENCER OFFICIATING, THE BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN THE WHITAKER CEMETERY LOCATED AT BUSY, KY; THE VISITATION WILL BE AT THE ENGLE-WALKER FUNERAL HOME ON MONDAY EVENING FROM 6:00 TILL 9:00 P.M. MILITARY RITES WILL BE PERFORMED BY THE PERRY COUNTY D.A.V. CHAPTER #64.
