Mildred Myers Hancock May 13, 2009

WEAVERVILLE/LILLIAN, ALABAMA Mildred Myers "Cricket" Hancock, age 90, of Lillian, Alabama, died May 13, 2009.

Mrs. Hancock was born October 6, 1918, in Cullowhee. She was a daughter of the late Tom and Bertha Rogers Myers, and the wife of the late James A. Hancock. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jane and Jo, and brothers, Zeb and Grady.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Jane McFarland of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, Ronald W. Hancock of Burnsville; brother, Tom Myers of Florida; grandchildren, James Vance Hancock of Greenville, SC, Mary Katherine Thomas of AL, Laurie Santos of FL, David L. McFarland of Weaverville; and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, May 29th in West Memorial Park, Weaverville with Rev. George Hutchins officiating.

Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.

West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville is in charge of arrangements.
Mildred had a funeral home marker and it is gone now.
