Andy Millsaps Jr. of Knoxville, formerly of Monroe County, passed away at 3:55 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Living River of God Church in Knoxville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was 79.

Preceded in death by: parents, Andy Sr. and Mary Bingham Millsaps; brother, Rev. Ralph Millsaps; and brothers-in-law, Paul Summitt and Charles Rhyne.

Survivors include: wife-Betty Gray Millsaps;

Sons and daughters-in-law-Bobby and Sandra Millsaps and Lynn and Suzanne Millsaps, all of Knoxville;

Grandchildren and spouses-Russell and Tonya Millsaps, Jennifer Millsaps, Brittany and Dan Mitchell and Jessica and Brandon Vandagriff;

Step-grandchildren-Brad and Amy Teague;

Step-great-granddaughter-Kaylen Teague;

Sisters and brother-in-law-Ruby Rhyne of Maryville; Mary Ann Summitt and Martha and Cecil Leming, all of Vonore;

Brothers and sisters-in-law-J.B. and Linda Millsaps of Maryville; Boyd and Vietta Millsaps of Alcoa; and Mildred Millsaps of Vonore;

Several nieces and nephews;

Former daughter-in-law-Joyce Millsaps of Knoxville.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Thursday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Keith and Rev. Edwin Benton officiating. Interment will be 10 a.m., Friday, in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., before the funeral. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
