Nicholas H. Remaklus, 79, of Lorain, a retired steelworker, died yesterday in St. Joseph Hospital after a short illness.
He retired in 1955 from Lorain-Cuyahoga Works, U.S. Steel. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Holy Name Society, Golden Agers, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving are his wife Celia; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Dolores) Jakubowski, Lorain; a son, Melvin, Lorain; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nine sisters, Mrs. Mary Wagner, Celina, Ohio; Mrs. John (Susan) Laux, Sidney, Ohio; Mrs. Emma Finnerty, Mrs. Marcella Krapf, Miss Sophie Remaklus, all of Cleveland; Mrs. Katherine Pappas, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Margaret Romestant, Akron; Sister Mary Lillian, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Sister Mary Paulissa, LaFayette, Ind; a brother, Clarence, Akron.
