Learn about upgrading this memorial...
Birth: 1922
Mount Pleasant
Maury County
Tennessee, USA
Death: Aug. 9, 1942, Solomon Islands

J C Melvin "DAGO" Holt. Son of George Washington Holt and Emma Elizabeth Chapman Bailey Holt. He was called DAGO by his friends at Mt. Pleasant, Hay Long High School. JC was of Irish ancestry. He joined the navy instead of waiting to be drafted. He was the youngest male in the family. Ironically, my typing teacher, Mrs Ribble, in 1960 taught JC when he was attending school in 1940.
