Albert served as a Corporal on B-25C #41-12448, 90th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Group, Light, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Jackson Parish, Louisiana prior to the war.

B-25C #41-12448 took off, with a crew of 6 and 7 other B-25s, from 7 Mile Drome, Central Province, Papua New Guinea on a Combat Mission over Lae Airfield, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

Over their target the B-25s were attacked by approximately fifteen Japanese Zeros for approximately twenty minutes. B-25C #41-12448 was last seen being engaged by two Zeros and losing altitude with both engines in flames. The entire crew was lost.

Albert was declared "Missing In Action" on this mission during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
