Son of William Fitzherbert-Brockholes, C.B.E., of Claughton Hall, Garstang, Lancs., and Blanche, 2nd daughter of Maj Gen Hon. Sir Henry Clifford, V.C., K.C.M.G. Chief Mining Officer to the Relief Expedition.
His brother Capt Thomas Joseph Fitzherbert-Brockholes was killed in 1915.
Also their uncle Brigadier General
