Nancy was the Daughter of Robert and Eliza Ann (Dowell) Thacker of Virginia.
She was the wife of Pvt. James Edward Parker Sr., he was a Confederate Soldier in the Civil War. James E. is buried in the Ditney Cemetery on the CCC Trail. She was the mother of Thornton "Tee",Mary Elizabeth, Martha Ellen, Robert Lee,William "Bill", Fleming,Amanda Susan, Ida Belle,Charles and James Edward Jr.
Later Years she married James "Jimmy" White
