Ferdinand Perri, being born in San Marino, which is a micro state surrounded by Italy, became a naturalized citizen on April 19, 1943.

He entered the military on March 16, 1944 at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

Assigned to Co. C. 23rd Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division.

He sacrificed his life near Bouxieres-sous-Froidmont, France.

For his actions, he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star posthumously.
