Son of John Norman Fredd, Sr. and Belle Bair Fredd.
John, who resided at 1110 Woodlawn Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a 1st Lieutenant in the 720th Bomber Squadron, 450th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force based in Italy during World War II.
He enlisted in the Army on March 12, 1942 in Wilmington, Delaware and was noted as employed as an Airplane Mech. and as being Single, without dependents.
He was "Killed In Action" while piloting a B-24 over Fuerstenfeldbrueck, Germany.
He had served with the Air Corps for two year and five months at the time of his death and was decorated with the Air Medal and a Purple Heart.
