Nicholas served as a Sergeant, 305th Engineer Combat Battalion, 80th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Prince George's County, Maryland prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 4, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed as a Driver and also as Married.

Nicholas died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident during the war. He had previously been awarded the "Bronze Star"!
