Mr. Busby was one of eight children of the late Isaac and Sallie Busbuy, pioneer farmers here. He was born on a farm southeast of Fairmount and lived there until his marriage to Miss Anna Yerkes, of Fairmount. They had lived here practically all their married live with the exception of one year spent on a farm in Indiana.
Surviving besides the widow are two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Runyan and Mrs. Margaret Cox, both of Fairmount, and two brothers, Horace Busby, of Jacksonville, and William Busby, of Canute, Oklahoma. A daughter, Miss Garnet Busby, a prominent teacher and musician died 16 years ago. Mr. Busby was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
