William Ed "Bill" Markum, 85, of Waco, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010, in Providence Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2010, at Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Lake Shore Church of Christ with the Minister Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
Bill was born in Chilton, Texas, to the late Ed and Viola (Kirkpatrick) Markum. He was married to Juanita Markum for 64 years. Bill worked at Caldwell Electric Company for 47 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; one brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include his sons: Will Markum and wife, Jennette, Mike Markum and wife, Marilyn, and Randal Markum and wife, Michele, all of Waco; grandchildren: Troy Markum, Leslie Lefler, Ryan Markum, Kim Pirkle, and Allison Heath; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
