Prolific composer of Gospel songs. Honored in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Two of his most famous songs are "I'll Fly Away" and "I'll Meet You In The Morning." His songs recorded by such luminaries as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Charley Pride and over 200 other singers and quartets. The first refrain of "I'll Meet You In The Morning" is engraved on his grave stone.
