Two children were born to James and Sarah. (James Irvin b. 1858 and William m b. 1859).
James volunteered for serivice in the CSA Army on 28 Jan 1862 and served with Co E, 27th Ark Inf until 8 Jun 1865. He was a POW from 20 May 1865 until paroled on 8 Jun 1865.
Sarah apparently died while James was away in service.
No record of her death or burial found.
