Son of Henry Becker and Catherine Sharp Becker who resided at 1200 Pleasant Street, Wilmington, Delaware during the war.

Norman, who resided in Chester County, Pennsylvania prior to the war served as a Corporal with the Company K, 135th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on March 3, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was noted as Single, with dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" by enemy machine gun fire in Northern Italy during the war and was awarded a Purple Heart.

He had served in the Army for two years and seven months at the time of his death.
