Julian Zadora was the oldest son of Joseph and Rose Makula Zadora. Julian was married to Marie Washburn Zadora and had no children. He joined the Army because he wanted to serve in place of his brother who had two children at the time.

Killed in action, he was a member of the 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. This division was in the invasion forces on D Day at Utah beach. He was probably killed near the city of Caen, France and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

His original place of burial was in US Military Cemetery, Marigny #1 Cemetery. This cemetery was 9 miles west of St. Lo, France. After the war his remains were moved to the Brittany Cemetery.

Records of his Army service no longer exist due to a fire in the archives.
