Killed when B-24H Liberator #42-52247
crashed in Italy [presumably after departing
San Giovanni Field south of Foggia for
mission to Hungary, but this in not
confirmed.]

Five other crew were also killed:


2nd Lt. Benjamin Paige (pilot)
1st Lt. John Franklin Curtis
1st Lt. Elmer E Watters
T/Sgt. John W Rickey
Cpl. Herman L Kennedy
