Jack served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade & Co-Pilot on PBY4-1 #63925, Bombing Squadron 105, U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in West Virginia prior to the war.

PBY4-1 #63925 was on a training flight and crashed at sea for an unknown reason South of Bude Bay, Cornwall, England during the war.

Jack was declared "Missing In Action" in the "Line of Duty" in this crash during the war.

His remains were not recovered.

Lester also has a "Cenotaph" in the Mount Albion Cemetery, Albion, New York with his parents.
