From the book, The Fighting Men of Oklahoma: SGT Lacock was inducted into the service on Sept. 10, 1940 at Tulsa OK. He received his gunnery training at Lowry Field CO and Las Vegas NV and trained in aerial photography at Boise Idaho. He was stationed at Norwich England as a waist gunner on a B-24. He was on his first bombing mission when the plane developed engine trouble and crashed two miles from the base on March 2, 1944. He is buried in the Cambridge American Military Cemetery, Plot B, Row *, Grave 10. This cemetery is located 42 miles northeast of London, England just outside the University Town of Cambridge.
