Paul Leon Bass was born June 18, 1922 in Jefferson, Marion Co. Texas. He was Top Turret Gunner, Engineer on the Pennsylvania Polka that was shot down on Feb. 4, 1943 near the west of Terscheling Island in the North Sea.
