Mrs. Dixon was born Dec. 30, 1910, to James M. and Jessie Payne Murray in Tacoma, Wash. She married Carl Dixon and worked for 10 years as a medical secretary at the La Grande Clinic and later as the secretary to the manager at the Boise Cascade particleboard plant until her retirement. She was a woman of wit and wisdom. Her sense of humor delighted everyone and her warmth encouraged many who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Anne Murray of Madison, Conn.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and other relatives. Her husband died earlier.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Association in care of Daniels Chapel of the Valley, 1502 Seventh Street, La Grande 97850.
