Lloyd was the youngest child of Matthew and Margaret McGuire; husband of Agnes Bridget Sullivan of Ottawa, Ontario.
They were married on 22 December 1941 in what is now St Patrick's Basilica, just before his enlistment.
Lloyd was a graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College at Guelph.
Killed in action during his second year in France, age 25.
