DEATH TAKES DOYLE C. RAY
Blue Creek Township Youth Victim of Strange Illness
Doyle C. Ray, 22 son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Ray of Blue Creek twp., died at the home of his parents, this morning at 1 o'clock. Death came after an illness of seventeen days, although he was bedfast for only ten days and was the result of encephalitis which is similar to spinal meningitis.
He was born in Adams county, September 23, 1910, and is survived by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters; Gerald, Oscar, Junior, and Mary Agnes, all at home. Three half-brothers and a half-sister also survive. They are Grover of Brookville, O., Vernon of Pleasant Hill, O,. Homer of Ft. Wayne and Mrs. Loma Foster, of Monroe.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the Salem M.E. Church with Rev. J. M. Pynchon officiating. Burial will be made in the M.R.E. cemetery.
