Son of Morris Goodlevege and Sophie Wasserman Goodlevege.

Bernard, who resided at 721 West Seventh Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with Company E, 301st Infantry Regiment, 94th Division, Third Army, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on June 24, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey. He was noted as Single, without dependents.

He was "Killed In Action" in Germany.

He had served the Army for one year and six months at the time of his death and was decorated with the Purple Heart.

He also has a "Cenotaph" in the Jewish Community Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware.
