Chapin - Services for Irene Eargle, 82, will be held 2 PM Sunday, February 18, 2007, at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, in Chapin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to the St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. Mrs. Eargle, widow of the late George Hite Eargle, was born August 31, 1924, in Chapin, SC, and died February 15, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Earl Miller and Leona Cumalander Amick. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. Surviving are her son, Mike Eargle; grandson, Aaron Eargle; son-in-law, Ed Meetze; sister, Doris Slice all of Chapin; brother and sister-in-law, Miller Ray (Evelyn) Amick of Irmo; brother-in-law, Earl Kelly of Prosperity. She is predeceased by her daughter, Louise Meetze; brother and sister-in-law, O'Neal and Edna Pearl Amick; sister, Eula Mae Kelly and brothers, Donnie Amick and J.T. Amick.
