GEORGE W. BRADY
5-31-1872 -- 6-24-19502

George W. Brady, seventy-eight, of Starr, Forest County, died at 6:30 pm Saturday, June 24, 1950, in the home of his son, William R. Brady, Starr. A son of the late Conrad and Martha Rheinsnyder Brady, he was born May 31, 1872, at Starr. He was married April 15, 1903, to Maude Setley, who died October 7, 1943.

Surviving are seven children: C. W. of Detroit, Mich; C. E. of Franklin; Lawrence W. and William R. of Starr; Mrs. Hazel Albaugh of Tionesta; R. D. Harry of Tionesta; and Harvey H. of Slippery Rock; fourteen grandchildren and a brother, Henry, of East Hickory.

The body lay at the William Brady home. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Church, Starr, at 2:30 pm Tuesday, the Rev. Pierce of Lickingville officiating. Funeral arrangements were made by Haslet’s of Tionesta. Interment was made in the family plot, Evangelical church yard. The pallbearers were: Elton Hall, Chester Zuendel, Walter Zuendel, Arthur Henry, Edward Burhen, Nelson Heath.

Mr. Brady is a member of an old Forest County family, long residents on German Hill where he had for many years been engaged in farming and lumbering activities. In recent years he had been employed by the State Highway Department, at Tionesta, having retired from active pursuits in 1948. He was a fine, upright and kindly man with an unusually agreeable personality. He leaves many friends who will miss him greatly. We extend deepest sympathy to the Brady family in their bereavement.

Inaccuracies:
I believe "Rheinsnyder" should be spelled "Reimensnider".
