Funeral services for Seminole resident Juanita Bryant are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Church of Christ at Park and Seminole. Christ Stinnett is to officiate.Burial is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
Bryant died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001 at her home in Seminole.She was born Nov. 17, 1907 in Eaton, Colo. to William T. and Daisy Edmiston.She married Homer Bryant on Oct. 27, 1929 in Seminole. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Bryant was a retired school teacher.She taught with the Seminole Public Schools as an elementary teacher for 23 years and was principal of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School for eight years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Park and Seminole.Bryant was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Self Culture Club, and the American Association of University Women.She graduated from East Central University and received her Masters from the University of Oklahoma.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, L.N. Edmiston.
Bryant is survived by two sons, James Bryant of Garland, Texas, and Gary Bryant of Hurst, Texas; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Moreland of Oklahoma City.
