Lorraine A. Andreshak, 84, Wausau, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Manor.

She was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Birnamwood, the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Tautges) Muhs. On Sept. 30, 1950, Lorraine was united in marriage to Philip Andreshak in West Allis. He preceded her in death July 19, 2004.

Lorraine was employed at the former Louis Allis Co., Milwaukee, for several years. The couple moved to Aniwa and operated the Y-Go-By Tavern for nine years. Lorraine also worked at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center as a cook, and then at the former Kmart Cafe, Wausau, retiring on her 80th birthday. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Hamilton Villa, Wausau. They could always be found playing bingo or cards, or just visiting. Lorraine also enjoyed working crossword and Sudoko puzzles, and she loved to read.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Genrich; and one sister, Lucille Netzinger.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. The Rev. Everard Scesney, OFM, and the Rev. Gregory Greiten, nephew of Lorraine, will concelebrate. Interment will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Aniwa. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.

Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
