MRS. CARRIE PILE DIES NEAR MARIETTA
Widow of George M. Pile, Charter Member of Marietta Church, Succumbs
Mrs. Carrie M. Pile, widow of George M. Pile, died this morning at 9:45 o'clock at the home of a son, Roy Pile, near Marietta. Mrs. Pile was eighty years of age and her death, due to senility, following an illness of several months.
She was the daughter of William and Nancy Law and was born in Hendricks Township on April 15, 1862. She was a charter member of the Marietta Methodist Church. On November 9, 1879, she was married to Mr. Pile, who preceded her in death in 1918.
She is survived by two sons and four daughters, Roy Pile, at whose home she died; Fred, of Marietta; Mrs. William Ellerman, of Hendricks Township; Mrs. Samus Mohr and Mrs. Arthur Ferrell, of Jackson Township, and Mrs. George Sawins, of Minnesota. She is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Alonzo Law of this city; Eliza Law, of Edinburg; Mrs. Ira Chesser, of Hendricks Township and Mrs. Laura Wertz, of Flat Rock; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by Morris H. Sleeth following the arrival of Mrs. Sawins.
