P. J. BAILEY was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, on May 26, 1891, the son of William N. and Nettie (Ransom) Bailey, who were pioneers of that part of Wisconsin
P. J. Bailey was educated in the public and high schools of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and also the University of Wisconsin, where he received his degree of Ph. G. in 1915. He also completed the commercial course at the Capitol City Commercial College of Madison, Wisconsin, and in 1916 entered Valparaiso University, where he received the degree of LL. B. in 1918. He saw military service on the Mexican border with Company L, Third Indiana Infantry, and due to physical inabilities was discharged from service. In 1918 he began the practice of law in Valparaiso.

Set Tuesday for Bailey Services
Memorial services for Atty. P.J. Bailey, who died Friday morning at Hot Springs, Ark., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian church, Rev. Oliver C. Starn officiating.
The Porter county court house will be closed tomorrow during the rites.
The Masonic lodge of which he was a member, will have charge of committal services at the grave at Graceland cemetery.
Friends may call at the family home, 512 Franklin Avenue from 7 o'clock this evening and up until noon tomorrow.
