Martha Neusum was born 1805 in Tennessee and married to Joshua Burrow who also was born in Tennessee.

Together they had two daughters that married into the Pendleton family from Lawrence County, Missouri.

1. Matilda Cisure Burrow - married John Willis Pendleton
They had nine children, eight reached adulthood. Matilda was struck by lightning when she was in her sixeth month of pregnancy with their ninth child. The son was still born on July 29, 1883. Matilda would die seventeen days later.

2. Mariva "Revey" Burrow -married Nathaniel Corda Pendleton
They had eleven children, five reached adulthood.


Mariva's mother and one sister that was blind was listed as living with her and Corda in 1870 however, in 1880 Martha and her last daughter were living alone.

Martha is buried near her daughter and families.
