Theresa C. Joseph, 76, Fargo, ND, died October 4, 2006, at Innovis Hospital, Fargo.
Theresa "Terry" Joseph was born December 28, 1929, in Breckenridge, MN to Carl and Elizabeth (Schneider) Conzemius. She grew up and graduated from Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, MN.
After graduation, Terry moved to Washington, D.C., where she began her career in Civil Service. She lived in California for a time working at Douglas Aircraft. The family moved to North Dakota in 1959. Terry worked at the Grand Forks Air Force Base until 1969, at which time the family moved to Sykeston, ND, where she owned and operated a bar. In 1972, Terry moved to Fargo, where she worked at the VA Hospital for fourteen years until her retirement in 1989. After her retirement, Terry worked part-time as a greeter at Wal-mart for fourteen years.
One of Terry's greatest accomplishments was her family. She loved them all unconditionally. Terry's love stretched far and beyond her own family. Over the years she was known as "mom" by many others. Terry was very encouraging of others and believed they could do anything they set out to do. She had a great love for life and a wonderful sense of humor. These values will live on in all of us forever. She will be deeply missed by all those who were honored to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law, one grandchild, Jennifer and one great grandchild, Jamie.
Theresa is survived by her loving companion of twenty six years, Harvey Thomas of Fargo; four sons, John (Tammie) of Graham, WA, James (Alma) of Winston-Salem, NC, Robert (Brenda) of Surrey, England, Kerry (Evelyn) of Elk Grove, CA; three daughters, Diane (David) Johnston of West Fargo, ND, Jean (Mark) Hess of Cheyenne, WY, Mary (Roger) Tweten of Sabin, MN; fourteen grandchildren, Johnny, Elizabeth, Cheri, Daniel, Lisa, Jonathan, James, Jessica, Christopher, Tina, Scott, Mike, Todd and Ericka; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Conzemius of Breckenridge, MN, Tony (Margaret) Conzemius of Breckenridge, MN; four sisters, Delores (Rich) McClernon of Tintah, MN, Floss (Ken) Petersen of Breckenridge, Joanne (Vernon) Althoff of Mooreton, ND, Lucille (Chuck) Krump of Breckenridge; mother-in-law, Luella Thomas of Fargo; and sister-in-law, Deb Thomas of Lake Park, MN.
