She grew up in a farm family of 12 children (10 boys & 2 girls). Her youngest child, daughter Ruby, told me in 2000 (at age 94), "Momma knew nothing of 'pretty' stuff and had poor self esteem. She got a fever just after New Year's Day & never got better and just willed herself to death by Thanksgiving. ... She talked a lot about her family, but not much was ever said about Daddy's family." In 1995 a phoyographic negative was arranged to make a copy of the original, unrestored photograph by Driggers Photography, Irmo, S. C. (who owns that negative). On 8/12/1996, Kim at Columbia Photo produced this computer restoration for me and that disc is owned by that company. Family may contact those sources for copies.
