Linda Lou Chapman, 58 of Charles Town, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

Born June 17, 1950, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of Cecil Iden Moore, Berryville, Va and the late Mary Elizabeth "Hardy" Moore.

She was a housekeeper. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Robert Clarence Chapman, Sr., three sons, Tony Chapman and wife Tammy, of Ranson, Ricky Chapman and wife Mary , of Charles Town, Robert "Tarzan" Chapman and wife Tina, of Kearneysville, three daughters, April Ballenger and husband Timmy, of Harpers Ferry, Misty Shade and husband Paul, of Inwood, and Ann Pennington, of Charles Town, five brothers, Mark Hardy Sr., Frank Hardy and wife Diane, Michael Hardy, and Cecil Hardy, all of Harpers Ferry, and Danny Hardy, of Roanoke, Va, two sisters, Angela Moran and husband Herman, of Inwood, and Shirley Hardy, of Harpers Ferry, twelve grandchildren, Bobby and Brandon Ballenger, Tony Chapman Jr. and brother Joshua Shutts, Ricky Chapman Jr. and brother Robert and sister Felicia, Paul Shade Jr. and sister Hailey, Megan Chapman, David Pennington Jr. and sister Chelsea, great grandchild Amia Ballenger and close friend Charles Gray.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harrison Hardy, Charles Reno Hardy, and Glenn Hardy, four sisters, Edna Lanham, Nora Hardy, Geraldine Ware, and Diane Hardy, and one grandson, Jadan Chapman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 1 PM at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd "Bucky" Chapman officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
