Mrs. J.E.J. Ford died at her home, in east Graham last Saturday after a lingering illness of several weeks. Services were held at the home officiated by her pastor, Rev. G.W. Black. Mrs. Ford's maiden name was Mattie J. Britton. She was born at Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania and came to Texas in 1881 at the age of 14. She was married to J.E.J. Ford on 22 December 1887. She was converted and joined the Baptist Church on 24 July 1891. She was a true wife, mother and christian and will be greatly missed by the entire town.

Survived by her husband; seven children.
