John B. Tynan

John B. Tynan, 76, who resided with his son, John D. Tynan, and his daughter-in-law, Marie B. Tynan, at 215 2nd St. SE, died Thursday at 6:28 p. m. in the Massillon city hospital.

A native of Bellefontaine, Mr. Tynan came to Massillon in 1910. He resided here until 1929 when he moved to Zanesville, where he lived until six months ago, when he returned to Massillon to make his home with his son.

Mr. Tynan was a retired roundhouse foreman of the Wheeling and Lake Erie district of the Nickel Plate Road at Brewster. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic church of Zanesville, and the Holy Name society of the church, and the Catholic Order of Foresters of Norwalk. He had attended St. Joseph's church while residing here.

His wife, the late Mrs. Mary Tynan, died several years ago.

In addition to his son John D. Tynan, Mr. Tynan is survived by another son, Gilbert Tynan of Buffalo, N. Y.; a brother, Henry A. Tynan of Des Moines, Ia.: six sisters, Sister M. Maureen of the Holy Humility of Mary Order, stationed in Canton, the Misses Catherine and Gertrude Tynan and Mrs. C. Richey of Canton, Mrs. Mary Bishop of Sidney, 0hio, and Mrs. Thomas J. Hannon of South Bend, Indiana, and a grandchild.

The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a. m. in St. Joseph's church. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the Paquelet funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p. m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
