Services for Martha E. Hoover, 83, of Placerville, will be at 1pm Saturday, Dec. 10, at Memory Chapel with the Rev. James Upshaw of The Federated Church officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Mausoleum, Altadena.
She died Dec. 6 at a local hospital.
A native of Seville, Ohio, she lived the past 15 years in El Dorado County. She worked as a clerk for Southern Pacific Railroad for 23 years. She served with the U.S. Army in World War II from 1944-45 as a corporal with the 484th Army Air Force Base Unit. She was a member of Sierra Nevada Post 2680, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; Hangtown Gals Auxiliary; and Creative Seniors.
She is survived by her brother James Gerberich of Murietta; and her sister Mary R. Tyler of Placerville.
