Freddy Richard Cox, 82, died Friday, December 19, 2003 at a Weatherford nursing center of complications of Parkinson's.
Freddy was born December 10, 1921 in Garner to Revis and Nellie Phillips Cox. Freddy was a proud Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He retired from Employers Insurance in 1986 after thirty-three years of service and was one of their top salesmen.
Freddy loved football, especially the Texas Longhorns. One of his prize possessions was a football autographed by Darrell Royal.
He was a very devoted family man who loved his family, his home, and his pets. Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Darwin Cox.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Holland Lake Nursing Center and Covenant Hospice.
