Anne was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Timothy and Catherine (Keating) Murphy. She married John Crowley on January 20, 1943. They had five children; Mary Anne, Kathleen, John, Patricia, and Joan. Anne had a wonderful sense of humor. She died in her home in Bridgeton, Missouri after a brave battle with lung cancer.
