Born after 1802 died between April 15 1850 when he wrote his will and October 1850 when his will was proved. Delilah (McCombs) Abernathy was living in Cape County in 1850 with her sister. Most likely Battie is buried in Apple Creek because that is where Delilah, her parents, two brothers, a sister and grandmother are buried. Her second husband may also be buried here. During that time period, Apple Creek Church was going through a split in the congregation and records are sketchy.
