Victoria McLellan Carter was born soon after the Civil War ended and died at age 61 in the early years of The Great Depression. Daughter of John McLellan (1843-1911) and Elizabeth Nelson McLellan (1850-1916). Both are buried near her in Pine Level Church Cemetery.

She was first married to Manning Carter who died in 1907 of pneumonia four days after the birth of their last son.

She later married William R. Crapps (born 1881). They had one daughter Alvia Crapps (1916-Mar. 19, 2006) who died in Athens, (Clark County) Georgia.
