HERMAN MAN BURIED MONDAY
Joseph Olson was born June 12, 18721 on the farm near Herman where he lived all
his life. He passed away at his home on September 17th, 1938 at the age of 66
years, 4 months and 5 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Bessie Alback and
three grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Rosenbaum of Kennard, Mrs. Julia
Johnson of Blair, and Mrs. Matilda Wachter of Lincoln, and one brother, William
Olson of Herman.
Funeral services for Mr. Olson were held at the Methodist church in Herman at 2
o'clock Monday afternoon, Rev. A.G. Clarke officiating. Burial was made in the
Thone cemetery. ---- Herman Cor.

AN ILLNESS OF SEVERAL MONTHS IS FATAL SATURDAY TO COUNTIAN
Joseph Olson, 66, resident of the Herman vicinity his entire life, died at his
home Saturday after an illness of several months.
Born on the farm June 12, 1872, Mr. Olson secured his education at Glendale
school. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith when a boy. On
February 16, 1897, he was married to Miss Minnie Ommerman of Blair. To them were
born four children, three of whom preceded him in death.
Surviving Mr. Olson are his wife, Minnie, and a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Alback; a
brother, William Olson, of Herman; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Johnson of Blair,
Mrs. Mary Rosenbaum of Kennard and Mrs. Tillie Wachter of Lincoln. There are
three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Herman,
the Rev. A.W. Clarke officiating. Interment was in Thone cemetery.
