Yazoo Herald--March 31, 2010. Isla Karherine Lindsey, 74, of Madison died Friday, March 26, 2010 at home. Funeral services were Sunday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cresswell officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ms. Lindsey was born Nov. 30, 1935 in Yazoo County to Ernest and Dolly Wilson Cresswell. She attended Bentonia High School and sang in the church choir. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lola Cresswell Smith and Alene Cresswell; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include; four sons, Robert Kite of Ozark, Mo., William D. Kite of Ozark, Mo., Robie Kite Jr. of Madison, and David Kite of Clinton; three brothers, Lewis Cresswell of Houston, Texas, Bud Cresswell of Bentonia, Ms., and Jimmy Cresswell of Bentonia, Ms.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Cullan Kight, Lewis Cresswell, Robie Kight, David Lee Kite, and Robie Kight Jr. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
