Henry Anderson Reynolds, 90, of Penhook, passed away Saturday evening, July 24, 2010, at his home. He was a lifetime Deacon of Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren and retired from Goodyear in Danville. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys O. Reynolds; son, Henry A. Reynolds Jr.; brothers, William, Levi, Nelson, Hollace, and Robert; and sister, Annie Martin. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jack Blankenship, of Penhook; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Cindy Reynolds, of Chattanooga, Tenn., and David Reynolds, of Axton; grandchildren, Deborah and Lee Hunt, Tammy Haskins, Melissa and Scott Ogburn, Kenneth Wayne and Michelle Reynolds, Robert and Audrey Arthur, Angela Nealey, Frances and Charles Wells; greatgrandchildren, Travis Haskins, Kristy and Chris Szuba, Kevin and Andy Gillespie, Tiffany Stainback, Brittany and Olivia Arthur, Kenneth, Justin, Christian and Jacob Reynolds, Josh Lowder, Sarah Nealey, Shane Hall, Hannah, Caroline, Jonathan and Luke Ogburn; sisters, Bessie Stegall and Florence Wright, of Penhook. Funeral services will be conducted from Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Tuesday July 27, 2010, with Pastor Mike Gallimore and the Rev. Scott Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Snow Creek Rescue Squad, c/o Captain Don Handly, 6057 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Virginia 24137 or to Boones Chapel Church of the Brethren, c/o Jeremy Adkins, 16405 Snow Creek Road, Penhook, Va. 24137. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday July 26, 2010, at Boones Chapel Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
