She had three children: Frederick Lee Mount, Charles Francis Apple and Pearl Audra Apple Heitkamp.
She had six grandchildren: Shirley Lee Mount Geraci, Barbara Lou Mount Horvat Williams, Gay Mount McCann Applegate, David Apple, Dennis Apple and Joanne Pearl Heitkamp Dienger.
She was the daughter of William Henry McMakin and Harriet McMakin of Cincinnati, then Ripley County, Indiana and lastly of Lebanon, Indiana.
She was the dear sister of Benjamin McMakin, Susan McMakin, Watts McMakin, and Ruth Emma McMakin Keener.
She was a loving grandma and we all miss her so much! She was round and rosy just like an apple. She was called Clara Doll Baby when she was young because she was so beautiful. I heard that her stove was always so clean that you could see your face in it.
Her daughter Pearl was married to Joseph Edwin Heitkamp.
I always wanted to get her a head stone. She deserves one so much!
She was everything to me and I miss her to this day, June 14, 2001: from her loving granddaughter Joanne Pearl Heitkamp Dienger.
Her daughter Pearlie, her sister Ruth, her brother Watts, her sister-in-law and her nieces Olive and Margaret are all buried in this same cemetery. Her remaining two siblings, Benjamin McMakin and Susan McMakin, are buried in Indiana.
She is buried in the large McMakin plot in the historic section. There is no marker.
