Name and dates shown on this memorial are result of extensive research by multiple descendants who were unable to locate legible gravestones for this couple. The gravestone in attached photo was obviously placed many years after death. Another discrepancy found during that research was Marinda's maiden name. Pickens Co, GA Marriage Records, Bk A, Pg 112: David L. McArthur & Marinda Russell married Dec 22, 1859; however, descendants insist her maiden name was Godfrey.
