Birth: May 26, 1833
Vermilion County
Illinois, USA
Death: Oct. 22, 1880

Mrs. Susan A. Fable was born in Vermilion County, IL, May 26, 1833. She was married to William J. Perrin January 16, 1858. He died in the Army, February 19, 1863, leaving her with two small boys, John W. and James B., aged 4 and 2 respectively. She was married to Anthony Fable in Eugene, Indiana, October 22, 1865. At this time she was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, but there being no organized church of that denomination in Eugene, she withdrew from it in 1870, having been a member for 10 years, and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. She died October 22, 1880, after a lingering illness of nearly a year, leaving, in addition to the 2 boys already mentioned, one daughter, Perrin, aged about 14 years. Her funeral service was conducted in the M.E. Church in Eugene on Sunday the 24th instant, by Rev. Isaac Dale, of Perrysville. In her death the husband has lost an amiable and devoted wife, the children a kind and indulgent mother, the church a true and exemplary member, and community a generous, attentive, and sociable neighbor.
