Pauline Wilhemina Ford

Pauline Wilhemina (Volgamore) Ford was born on May 20, 1910, at Beaver City, NE., the oldest daughter of Robert J. and Augusta (Struabe) Volgamore. She died on May 18, 1982, at Denver, Colorado.
She married Joshua Samuel (Babe) Ford at the home of her parents, on February 22, 1931. To this union three children were born: Joyce, Willard and Jerry.
Survivors include her children: Joyce Elaine Oatman and husband Pat of Lakewood, CO., Willard Wayne Ford and wife Mary Ellen of Minden, Jerry Allen Ford and wife Janet of Grandview, MO.; her grandchildren: Cindy and Don Kohlstedt, Steven and Diane Oatman, Michael and Andrea Oatman, Connie and Joe Morenzoni, Terry Ford, Lisa Ford, and Karen Ford; great grandchildren: Carie Kohlstedt, Dawn Marie, Stephanie, and Lindsay and Jennifer Oatman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Cynthia Kohlstedt, great grandson Joshua Paul Kohlstedt. She is survived by two sisters.
Pauline was a life-time resident of Furnas County and graduated from the Beaver City High School with the Class of 1928. She taught school for one ear near Precept. She began her married life on a farm 5 ½ miles south of Beaver City and still resided there with her husband at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Christian Church, Federated Women's Club, and a member for many years of the Friendship Extension Club. She worked for the cancer fund for many years, and any memorials will go to that cause in her name.
Only for a little while our loved ones leave our sight. For just beyond the hill, they wait-in God's eternal light.
Funeral services were conducted at the First Christian church in Beaver City, with the Rev. A.J. Ives and the Rev. James Hardy officiating.
Casket bearers were Ralph Rorabaugh, Jr., Bill Weaver, Don Woodruff, Dean Weaver, Ron Upson and Jerry Van Matre. Honorary bearers were Don Kohlstedt, Steve Oatman, Mike Oatman and Joe Morenzoni and Terry Ford.
Music was provided by Dale Fults and Helen Weaver with organist, LaCreta Fisher.
Hopping-Haase-Wenburg Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Beaver City.
